Flairies and Larys is a private, member-approved Facebook group for laryngectomees, their families and caregivers, and the medical professionals who treat them. It’s a space for the everyday, off-the-clock stuff — a question about a stoma cover that finally worked, a rough day, a voice milestone worth celebrating — from people who genuinely understand it. It doesn’t replace your care team; it’s the community around them.
Private group · 40 members and growing · started August 24, 2026
The group’s own ground rules
- Be kind and courteous — no hate speech or bullying.
- Respect everyone’s opinion. Rudeness or bullying means immediate removal.
- Privacy is important — what’s shared in the group stays in the group.
- No politics, religion, GoFundMe links, or selling merchandise.
- No blocking admins, and no locked profiles.
- Only admins add members — no personal invites. Sharing the group link is welcome.
A note on privacy: rule three above is one this page takes seriously too. Nothing from the group’s actual conversations, and no members’ names or posts, appear here — this page describes the community, it doesn’t broadcast it.
It’s a private group — an admin reviews every request.
